The precise date of the start is not yet confirmed, but looking back at the show’s history, W can expect the new episode around October or November of this year, 2024.

A self-resilient and Self-sufficient couple, Tom and Nancy, made their home in the remote River Valley of Northwestern Montana. Tom Oar, one of the main cast of Mountain Men and a fan favorite, is a former professional rodeo champion but later transitioned to a life of the wilds with trapping, hunting, and Brain tanning after a near-death experience.

Nancy, his steadfast partner, has always supported him in their journey, facing the challenges and wilderness together. They have been married for more than 50 years and have two children, a son and a daughter.

Tom and Nancy had been part of the show from the very beginning of the early seasons. The part of his life where he walks across America on the Appalachian Trail surprises his followers a lot. Eustace’s love for nature led him to establish Turtle Island, a 1000-acre wildlife preserve and environmental education center in North Carolina.

Always wanted to be a mountain man, Jake completed his dream with the show Mountain Men and is popular for his ambitious goals. He is a modern-day outdoorsman. Born and raised in Montana, he had a keen interest in wilds ever since he was a kid. After his graduation, he joined as a coach in Twin Bridges Falcon, which led them to the state championship.

After that, he joined Mountain Men in the seventh season in 2018 and established his name as a mountain lion hunter where his expertise in tracking and managing lions led to his popularity. Our cowboy in a ranch and his dedication to the team made him embraced as a modern mountain man.

Kidd and Harry Youren

Kidd Youren and his brother Harry were a great addition to the show’s fame. They are part of the Helfrich River Outfitter and the Guide family and are recurring cast members of our famous show.

Growing up as a son of the Hunting outfitter assers them positively to their skillsets and they both expertise in it and the series. They showcase their skills as the 6th generation cowboys who are used to living off the land in the sawtooth of mountains of Idaho.

Out of many, some of their famous skill sets include ranching, cowboying, fishing, hunting large game, roping cattle, horse logging, and navigating challenges, which became a great addition to the show and the difficulties they are going to face. Kidd is not only known for being a guide for middle fork and Rodge trips but is also a Kesey husband and father of baby Fallon. The Youren brothers, with their diverse skills, add a great light to the show.

Aron and Jennifer Tolan

An example of a dedicated and adventurous couple, Aron and Jennifer Toland, was featured on the show Off-grid Living. They embarked on their journey in 2016 after purchasing an abandoned fishing lodge in Eliguk Lake, which is located in the wilderness of British Columbia.

This neglected property was not in proper state as it was housing for the extensive renovation to transform it into a functional homestead and lodge. After six years of lasting hard work, the couple was successful in reviving the business.

Facing loads of challenges of the winter isolation, they managed to maintain common goals even though they both belonged to different fields, Aron as an off-road mechanic and Jennifer as a rescue medic. As they embrace this remote lifestyle, the couple excitedly tackles new projects and adds beauty to the show Through the Lake.

Mountain Men cast Martha Tansy and Daughter Elli

Another famous cast of the show Mountain Men includes a mother-daughter duo Martha Tansy and her daughter Elli. Martha Tansy is a 41-year-old Outdoor enthusiast who lives in South Central Alaska. Martha has a background in the US Army and has expertise in skills such as sharpshooting abilities and elite off-road driving, including mechanic skills. She is also known as one of the designated hunters of the Athabascan people in the region.

Marya is also famous because of her powerful character as a human and a mother. She is a single mother who enjoys the joys of life with her daughter, Elli. Together, they embrace the wildness in their lives, participating in the wilds. Roy Tansy Jr is the husband of Martha but her relationship is quite secret.

Martha also shares a keen interest in off-road racing, which adds power to her outdoor survival skills. She has also competed in racing events in Alaska, showcasing her adventurous spirit. Together, she and her daughter add shine to the show.

Mike Hortsman

Our seasoned hunter, trapper, and famous guide, one of the leading characters of our show Mountain Men, Mike Hortsman’s survival skills began from an early age. His passion for the outdoors was fueled by the outdoor life, hunting, and the survival magazine.

After the season 8 finale, which aired in 2019, the famous couple left the show, leaving many of the followers in question. While they did not disclose the exact reason, a few factors can be discussed.

There is a possibility that the desire for independence led them to leave the show as Morgan and Margaret run Apricity Alaska, which emphasizes self-sufficiency and independence from mainstream society, and it also came out that Morgan has been developing a dislike for the industry. After announcing on season 6 that for was too told for the show and the challenges of the lifestyle in the show, he grabbed his fans’ attention and made everyone upset that he might leave the show. He said he was too tired and wanted to quit and was quite done with the extra presence of the camera.  Currently, he and his wife are living together, enjoying their retired life in nature.

Jason Hawk

Our expert blade maker and another star of the show, Mountain Men, started the show in the fifth season and was quite famous for his unique lifestyle. In the era of modern times and comfort, Jason lived with his family in the mountains without any services electricity, central heating, or running water. His self-reliant way of life inspired many. Facing a tragic time in their later life, Jason was diagnosed with cancer in the late 2020s.

To manage all of their medical bills, they had to rely on a GoFundMe campaign, in which they mentioned their departure from the show. Jason mentioned that their contract with the HISTORY channel was not renewed, which is why they had to depart from the show. The intensive chemotherapy and radiation he had to go through kept him from the rugged lifestyle of the wild.

When the news broke about Jason’s cancer, suddenly, he disappeared from the show, which made people worry about his health. Some fans even started speculating about his death and started searching on Google for terms like “Jason Hawk’s Death”, and “Jason Hawk’s Obituary”, and coincidentally, there was another man named Jason Hawk who had passed away, and his Obituary page popped up in the search results, that created the confusion hence the rumors about Mountain Men cast Jason Hawk’s death started.

Many times, Jason has revealed on his Facebook that he gets a lot of messages from people asking about his health.

Charlie Tucker

One of our beloved members from the show, Charlie Tucker has left a great impact on the show because of his series of primitive lifestyles in the great North woods of Northern Maine, Before Mountain Men, Charlie’s main profession was a licensed logger and trapper for approx 25 years which made him skilled enough for the difficult lifestyle he faced later on.

His first episode was in the second season which aired on June 9, 2013. After continuing to work throughout the second and third seasons, Tucker appeared in a total of 33 episodes of the show.

Leaving the fans awestruck, 2014 was a turnover for his admirers because he decided to leave the show. The sources said that he was about to pursue a new business venture in the Maine woods recreational component as a private leaseholder, ending as journey a famous and fierce Mountain man.

Charlie’s personal life is private as he has no signs of him on social media handles but we can say that he is a person with diverse talents and work experiences. As per the recent information, Charlie has returned to his roots in Northern Maine, especially Ashland.

Kyle Bell

One of the most versatile members of the show, Kyle Bell, an American hunter-outfitter, outdoorsman, former bronco rider, and reality television actor, gained his popularity through mountain men. He appeared in the show for seasons 3 and 4. His commitment to living off the grid made him distinctive.

Growing up in New Mexico, Kyle’s childhood involves a series of physical activities from hunting, gathering, and learning survival skills. His interest in rodeo later turned him into a bronco rider and later he joined the show in 2014, During his appearance he was seen with his son making them popular as a father-son duo.

However, the duo left the show one day without any detailed explanation, leaving the fans curious about the departure. But later on, they embarked upon their adventures by creating a YouTube channel named “Survival Sense”. Their blog primarily focuses on providing common sense survival skills, but their blog appeared to be inactive since 2016.
