Jan Pol

Born in 1942 in the Netherlands, Dr. Pol and his journey into veterinary medicine started within Utrecht University. After their studies, he continued his passion and interest in animals and veterinary care with his beloved life in Harbor Beach, Michigan.
He there gained lifelong and invaluable experience working as an intern for a local veterinarian for more than a decade. In 1981, Dr. Pol took a step forward in his career journey when he started and established new Pol veterinary services outside of his home in Weidman, Michigan.
His determination and practice in the field slowly made him gain recognition in the respective field, and his care and compassion for large and small animals and household pets set his name in the minds of many.
According to the latest information, Dr. Pol is even currently engaged in the show “The Incredible Dr. Pol,” for which he has been continuing to entertain and educate while highlighting the importance of compassionate veterinary care.
Diane Pol
Diane Pol, Diane K Dalrymple Pol, wife of Dr Jan Pol, is a reading specialist and a television personality and also the co-founder of the Pol Veterinary Service. She, along with her husband, has played a very important role in veterinary services since 1981, serving the animal community. Together, the Pol couples have served the community.
As per the latest information available, Diane’s presence in the show is continued in the show where the Diane presence on the show adds depth and warmth, which also highlights the dynamic partnership between her and Dr. Pol in professional and personal lives.

Charles Pol
An American actor and producer, Charles Pool is best known for his role in the famous and long-running television series The Incredible Dr. Pol.
Dr. Pol and his wife, Diane Pol, adopted Charles who grew up on a farm in Michigan alongside his biological sister. Charles has developed a deep love for animals and has started assisting his father ever since he was a small child.
After completing his studies, he returned to his hometown and became one of the executive producers of the show his father, which later gained huge popularity as the show is currently in its 20th season. Brenda Grettenberger
Dr Brenda Grettenberger, a Michigan native and a famous cast of the show Dr Pol has been a crucial member and part of the veterinary services since 1992. Brends was born on a dairy farm, which might be the reason for her interest in the animal world. After she completed her studies, she started working with Dr pol and was seen in the how. Nicole Arcy
A 30-year-old Veterinarian, Nicole is a super talented person at such a young age. She has gained fame through her role in the Popular show” The Incredible Dr. Pol”. Born on December 20, 1993, In Las Vegas, she shared a passion for helping injured animals ever since she was a child. After graduating from the University of Missouri, she joined the team of DR Pol in 2019.
Dr. Nicole is a versatile and talented doctor. She has worked with numerous animals, including big, small, and exotics, within the clinic. In one of her interviews, she mentioned her interest in photography and how she has been trying to keep that interest going recently.
Nicole is still a special part of the show and remains constantly active on her socials, sharing her life in the show. Dr. Nicole is also engaged in community work outside the clinic, having worked with organizations such as Little Horses Big Smiles.
Dr. Pol cast Who left the Clinic and the Show
While Dr. Brenda and Dr. Jan are the pillars of the show, there are many incredible vets who have joined the Pol clinic and appeared on the show but later left the clinic and the show for their own personal reasons. Here’s the list of Dr. Pol cast who left and details about their current endavours.
Emily Thomas
One of the other valued members of the show is Emily Thomas, who brings her expertise in veterinary medicine to the show. She joined the cast after graduating from Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Thomas is married and has three beautiful children.
In 2019 she left her practice in the Dr. Pol Clinic that is left the show and as per the sources, she went to relocate to Virginia. After that, she started working in another clinic called Warren County Veterinary Clinic, where the official Facebook page of that clinic introduced her as their new member. This farewell of Emily left her fans confused about the reason she left the show.
“I don’t miss the chaos the Pol Vet brought into my family, but I do miss the people(Both clients and coworkers) there. ”
Thomas mentioned this in her Instagram account, which somehow might led to her reason for departure. She completed her statement with the caption
“Eventually, the stress of working there with three small children, being on call all the time, new vets coming and leaving just as fast, leaving the on-call duties to spread between mostly two to three of us… with no extra compensation”
Dr. Emily has often talked about her workload in the clinic through her blogs. The fact that there were very few patients and staff in the clinic and how the camera crew made it difficult for the staff to work might be some gestures for her departure from the show.
Ray Harp
Ray Harp, one of the incredible cast of the show, parted his ways from Dr Pol. Dr. Ray Harp was a veterinarian who started working in Pol Veterinary Services in July 2019 and became a fan favorite in the reality show “The Incredible Dr. Pol”. He has also mentioned that he was inspired by the show to study veterinary medicine.
Dr. Ray said that it was an interesting story as when he was diplomatic about the vet school, he used to watch the show Dr. Pol. Later, his wife suggested he apply as she also thought Dr. Pol and the clinic were motivational. Ray had some experience in the rescue of several animals, which made him interested in the care of mixed animals
However, he has left the show and the clinic as per the latest news, and the executive producer Charles Pol has confirmed his departure in 2021. Charles mentioned that he parted ways because of his family reasons but the actual reason is not yet disclosed by him.
Lisa Jones
After joining Pol Veterinary Services in July 2019 along with the Dr Harp, Lisa was an incredible addition to the show and graduated from Cornell University. Her skills and professionalism had not only shocked and impressed the other cast members but thousands of viewers across the world. She worked for Dr pol for more than four years from where she got an opportunity to learn from Dr Brenda and others.
Dr. Lisa works in the emergency department. The former cast of The Incredible Dr. Pol, Dr. Lisa received a different educational approach from her childhood as she was homeschooled up until she reached college. Dr. Pol, in one of his interviews, appraised Dr. Lisa for her professionalism in handling the animals caring for animals such as goats, sheep, and cows. About her personal life, She is single and not married.
However, in 2020, Lisa vanished from the show, leaving the fans in shock about her reasons for departure. No official news was available regarding Lisa. But from some sources, it was found that Dr. Lisa is now working on a show called “Vet Gone Wild” hosted by Chris Brown.
Dr. Michele Sharkey
Another most missed member of the show is Dr Michele Sharkey, who is a veterinarian by profession and one of the formers of the show. After graduating from the Ross University School, She joined the Pol’s clinic in the initial stage of her professional life. She made her debut in the 13th season, she joined and continued working till 2019 when she had a farewell from the show and moved to Colorado currently.
Dr, Elizabeth Grammar
One of the controversial names in the history of the show is Dr. Elizabeth Grammar. She was a former staff veterinarian at Pol Veterinary Services and was a hugely popular one among the viewers when her life took a turn in her life after her husband died of the wrong use of medicine.
After this tragic incident, it was heard that Elizabeth tried to take her own life for which she was admitted to the psychiatric ward at Macon Medical. After all these downs, she left the show and took a break from her professional life. As per the latest information, she is currently working in Georgia.
Similarly, there are many other names of the shows who were quite famous and were fan favorites in the show but later left the show for their own reasons, such as Marty Fox, Dave Aldrich, Dale Lehnert, and Dr. Erin, etc.
